The Autumn Meeting this year was held at West Surrey Golf Club on Thursday 24th September on a lovely warm and sunny day. The competition was four ball, better ball, played off 85% handicap starting from the first tee. Mrs Rosemary Gorringe, the West Surrey starter, started the 52 players off on the first tee in eight-minute intervals. The golf course was in superb condition, and credit must be given to the green keeping staff who have had to deal with one of the hottest and driest summers on record.
