SLCS Match v Kent Lady Captains’ Society
Our match against Kent was at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club on Thursday 22nd July. Although some Covid restrictions had been lifted it was still a requirement of the Club for people to wear masks while walking around inside the clubhouse. It was also agreed that we would not change for dinner as it was felt it was not a good idea to have a lot of ladies in the changing room at the same time. The players also sat in their fourball on the table number of their match and sandwiches and coffee were served at the tables, the same procedure was followed for dinner.
It was a very hot day but everybody managed to get round the course. The course was in excellent condition and all the ladies said how much they had enjoyed playing it. The sandwiches and dinner were delicious and the glass of wine was appreciated. From the noise in the room it sounded like all the ladies were having a good time with their playing partners.
I am very pleased to report that Surrey won the match 6/2.
I would like to thank all the Surrey ladies who took part.
