It has been a while since I wrote to you earlier in the year; however, very little has changed I am a year older having celebrated a memorable birthday and I’m in the process of applying to the LOLAs —- if they will have me!
I am sure I am not alone in feeling rather isolated at this point in time. Having enjoyed some golf with friends during the Summer and being able to meet up with family, the current situation that we are in again is extremely difficult though not unexpected.
As you know we have had no meetings or matches this year. Looking forward we have decided to hold a restricted Annual General Meeting in February 2021, basically there is very little to report for 2020. Perhaps I should have considered a floor show together with my Vice- Presidents in place of the speeches!
In line with the rules of the Society we can hold a Committee only AGM with at least ten members. The minutes, agenda and accounts for 2020 will be circulated in the usual way with the annual mailshot. May I ask you to contact our Honorary Secretary Judy Searle via email: honsecslcs@gmail.com with any comments or questions arising by Friday 12th February which we will discuss at our meeting.
We are arranging a Summer Luncheon at Walton Heath on Wednesday 11th August 2021. A full programme of our events is published here. Application forms for this together with those of our golf events will be sent out to you in January.
